You want castles and great beaches? Look no further than the north Northumberland coast. Fuchsia Cottage is within the small village of Christon Bank, near Embleton. Nearby Embleton bay was voted the BBC Countryfile's beach of the year 2017! Fine vistas, bracing walks and lots of wildlife to see - there's something for everyone. There's lots of great pubs and restaurants within two miles of Fuchsia Cottage. The cottage is also ideally placed if you're attending an event at Doxford Hall or Newton Hall.

Fuchsia Cottage was built over a century ago and still retains many original features such as the large stone inglenook fireplace (which incidentally houses a multifuel burner to keep you warm on long winters nights). Recently, the cottage was tastefully renovated and extended to the rear. We love the result; a modern vaulted ceiling fully equipped kitchen-diner, with views to out over the fields to the west as well as a new bathroom with standalone shower and luxurious claw foot bath.

Fuchsia Cottage has a light and airy kitchen diner fitted with good quality appliances, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery for the budding chefs amongst you. The utility room has a modern and efficient Bosch washing machine and tumble dryer. The oil central heating complements the multi-fuel burner in the lounge - all fuel is provided for your stay so you don't have to go out hunting for logs etc! In addition, the kitchen diner and bathroom both have underfloor heating to warm your toes when it's cold outside.

It's not very big and only has one storey but don't let that put you off! It's so cosy and wonderful, whatever the season.
